The Tagme, a pioneer and reference in solutions such as reservations, waiting lists, digital menus, and marketing platforms, plans for strong growth. To achieve this, the startup has the support of Teltec Data and Microsoft.

The Tagme, a pioneer and reference in solutions such as reservations, waiting lists, digital menus, and marketing platforms aimed at increasing sales and customer frequency in restaurants, plans aggressive growth with the goal of acquiring 100,000 clients in five years. To achieve this, the startup relies on the support of Teltec Data and Microsoft.

With its business applications already natively in the cloud since its inception in 2009, Tagme was one of the first in Brazil to use Azure.

“The cloud gives us the agility we need to scale our business more easily, without losing the quality of the services we offer,” says Roni Lacerda, CFO and COO of Tagme.

Tagme is present in over 3,500 establishments and, despite various launches and features since its inception, it was during the pandemic that the company saw its sales accelerate significantly.

“At first, we had restaurants closed, but with the arrival of the vaccine and the gradual reopening of commerce, our business experienced a boom. The need to reduce physical contact through menu sharing drove the digitalization of restaurants that realized the importance of digitizing the on-premise customer journey, investing in menus available via QR code. Since then, the number of people seated in restaurants through our reservation or waiting system has increased sevenfold,” Roni explains, emphasizing that today, approximately 25 million people have accessed menus via the technology provided by Tagme.

All Tagme clients depend on the availability of technology; after all, without their menus, reservations, waiting lists, and many other functionalities fully operational, restaurants lose their customers and a chain of dissatisfaction is formed.

That’s why Tagme needs effective partners to support its technology demands and sustain the rapid growth pace of the business.

“We realized that we would have a greater demand for technology and needed a robust IT partner ready to keep pace with the rhythm we are experiencing now and anticipating for the future. All this without losing the quality of our services and our goal of creating a personalized experience for customers who frequent our clients' restaurants. It was then that Microsoft recommended Teltec to us, and we started a very successful partnership,” Lacerda emphasizes.

ISV Program as a Lever for Business

The ISV program from Teltec was launched in 2022 with the aim of supporting the sustainable growth of clients, offering expertise in technology, application improvements through modernization, management and optimization of cloud consumption, personalized support, and assistance in commercial and marketing actions.

The ISV Program fit perfectly with the moment and needs of Tagme and ensured that the client, more than just having a cloud service, gained in proximity and truly differentiated service.

“Whenever we need it, we are promptly attended to by specialists in cloud architecture who understand the level of professionalism and the criticality that our business demands, since the unavailability of our services can mean significant losses for clients who, for the most part, are reference establishments in high gastronomy that value excellent service,” Roni Lacerda reinforces.

More than that, João Paulo Alvez, CEO of Tagme, highlights how the close partnership between Teltec and Microsoft has brought strategic advantages to his business:

“We have gained even more visibility within the manufacturer, and today we are served not only by Teltec but by a customer success team from Microsoft. It is clear how both partners are interested in the scalability of our operation,” says the CEO.

With the great success of the technology and partnership with Teltec since 2021, Tagme plans to double its revenue based on a strategy that involves launching new services – the major pillar that will drive the company to achieve its goals in this five-year journey.

“We have already digitized the menu, the queue, the reservation, and now we are going to digitize the customer journey from end to end, including the order and payment, generating even more efficiency for restaurants. We know that, with Teltec, we will have the technical and consulting backing necessary for everything related to cloud IT infrastructure, and this gives us the confidence to continue focusing on what is most important, the improvement of our offerings,” concludes the CEO.
